The Oysters You’ll Tell All Your Friends About

Seriously. Whether you’re toting them to a beach-side bonfire, slurping one down on the slopes (yes, we’ve seen it happen) or enjoying a perfectly plated dozen at a local raw bar, the Breachway Oyster is sure to be your favorite.

Decadently balanced, the distinct flavor of our oysters is sweet and crisp, with a briny, complex finish. Sporting a clean hard shell, deep cup and a wonderfully consistent ‘not-too-big but not-too small’ size, they’re easy to open and enjoyable for oyster novices or seasoned pros.

We’re dedicated to using best practices on the farm to produce a premium quality oyster.

From our crew of passionate individuals, to our fleet of work boats and top of the line gear, we consistently strive to be a leader in the industry. Our 9-acre farm is located in a prime spot in Ninigret Pond with perfect conditions for growing happy oysters. Because of its close proximity to the Charlestown Breachway, the farm benefits from the most movement of the tidal pond; fresh seawater flows in and out of the cages, providing plenty of food and nutrients for the oysters to filter, feed and flourish.

Brian Pinsky

Brian Pinsky has owned and operated the business since 2013. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Aquaculture and Fisheries Technology, a passion for working outdoors on the water kept this Massachusetts native in the Ocean State. Brian worked for a handful of government and private agencies in the fisheries industry, and as a commercial fisherman out of Pt. Judith, before starting the oyster farm. Providing a sustainable, local food source and running a successful business is really what a simple farmer’s dreams are made of.

our oysters can be found in many iconic Raw bars along the East Coast.
